At this year’s Systems Integrated Europe Danish company Neets have presented three new audio amplifiers. The amplifiers range from Amplifier Version 1 (P/N#: 312-0001), with RS-232 control for smaller meeting rooms or class rooms, to Amplifier Version 2 (P/N#: 312-0002), the second largest amplifier in the series, with RS-232 loop through function to the advanced Amplifier Version 3 (P/N#: 312-0003), with LAN control and microphone input.
The new amplifiers are 2x15 Watt (P/N#: 312-0001) and 2x25 Watt (P/N#: 312-0002 and 312-0003) amplifiers all in 8 Ohm. They have short circuit safe speaker outputs and are all RS-232 controllable. Besides the features in controlling channel, gain, treble, bass, volume, balance and the like, you get a direct connection for mute, input select and volume (either as potentiometer or step).
The three new amplifiers will also be able to Wake On Signal. This means that the amplifier will turn on when receiving an audio signal on one of the inputs (input 1 or 4).
The difference between the three audio amplifiers must be found in their functions. The above mentioned functions describe the Neets Audio Amplifier Version 1 (P/N#: 312-0001), which is the smallest in the series.
Audio Amplifier Version 2 (P/N#: 312-0002), which is the second largest in the series, has a huge advantage compared to competing amplifiers in its ability to make a RS-232 loop through. When controlling the Audio Amplifier via a Neets Control system, for instance the Neets Control – FoXtrot, the RS-232 loop through function will give you the possibility to control both the amplifier and a projector. This means that you can control two devices via RS-232 from a control system with only one RS-232 comport. The control system, connected to the Audio amplifier, sends a RS-232 signal to the amplifier. The amplifier loops the signal through and on to the projector.
All Neets amplifiers can be controlled via a Neets Control system. Primarily via RS-232, but the advanced Amplifier Version 3 (P/N#: 312-0003) is also LAN controllable and you can control it with a Neets Control – EU. When using LAN to control the Neets Amplifier Version 3 (P/N#: 312-0003) you actually get 3 extra comports from the amplifier to control via the Neets control system. This means that besides the 2 RS-232 comports that you already have on your Neets Control – EU, you get 3 extra via the Amplifier – giving you a total of 5 RS-232 comports. This advanced version also has one microphone input with volume adjustment. The microphone input is used at the same time as another sound source (talk over music).
All in all the new Neets Audio Amplifiers gives you a wide range of not only audio control, but a possibility to expand your facilities with your Neets Control systems.
